Summer Session
The Stanley’s Arts in Education Institute actively engages teachers and students in integrating aesthetic education and the arts into classroom teaching and learning.
The goals of AEI are to foster aesthetic learning and critical thinking in teachers and students through active participation in developing perception and problem solving skills as they explore a particular work of art. AEI’s Summer Session provides professional development for teachers as they participate in workshops lead by local teaching artists. IN-SERVICE CREDIT is available! This relationship is continued during the school year as they work together to design activities that involve students in an active exploration of the artistic process linked to the works of art their teachers have chosen to integrate into classroom curricula.
Summer Session is open to teachers in Oneida and Herkimer counties. If you are a teacher that would like to participate in the Arts in Education Institute and learn more about Summer Session please contact Serena Belmont, Education Manager, at 315.724.1113 or sbelmont@stanleycenterforthearts.com today!
