View, the Center for Arts and Culture in Old Forge, New York, announces the opening of two new exhibitions, “New York State Juried Sculpture Exhibit” and “Mechanical Reproduction” by Matt Wilt.
“New York State Juried Sculpture Exhibit” will feature two- and three-dimensional representative, figurative or abstract art forms made by one or more basic processes; carving, modeling, casting, constructing or welding. Non-Functional sculptures made from materials such as stone, metal, wood, paper, glass, clay, fiber or mixed media will be on display. The exhibition was judged by Matt Wilt who will have a solo exhibition titled “Mechanical Reproduction.”
Ceramicist and art educator Matt Wilt is an award-winning artist both nationally and internationally. Wilt was also an apprentice at Moravian Pottery and Tileworks and earned a Fellowship and Resident Artist positions at The Clay Studio. Experience in architectural terra cotta restoration and traveling in the Far East further inform the work of this talented artist and head of the ceramics program at Skidmore College.
“New York State Juried Sculpture Exhibit” will be on display from November 14 through March 27, 2021. “Mechanical Reproduction” will be on display from November 14 through January 30, 2021.
