Pilates With Purpose is a fantastic way to "wake up" the body through stretching and yoga poses. Mindful meditation, relaxation, and improved flexibility are all benefits of Pilates. Kelly Kinahan is certified in Classical Pilates Mat 1 as developed by Joseph Pilates. Her past experience includes over 10 years of ballet through local dance studios in her youth. She has taught Ballroom Dancing at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in her early 20's and jokes that had she kept with it she could be "Dancing with the Stars" today! While living in Boston between 2000 and 2008 she continued adult ballet classes through Boston Ballet that included barre and floor combinations. Kelly focuses on the Core Principals of Pilates Mat(Breath, Concentration, Centering, Control, Precision and Flow). Her classes offer overall body conditioning that develop core and back strength, increases flexibility, coordination and balance. She incorporates into her classes: meditation, ballet barre, 21 Pilates Mat exercises and a cool “Zen Vibe” through her musical playlist!
