Featuring opening performance by Sterling Brownell!

Red Bandana is a group of Central New York musicians who came together last summer for a one-time gig, and enjoyed it so much, they decided to form a band. Annette Gurdo - lead vocals and guitar, and Mike Bondy - lead vocals, guitar and slide, were past members of local favorite, Black Tail Rat. Chris Pepe, who plays banjo and upright bass, is also a member of the folk/bluegrass band, Cincinnati Creek. Dan Stone, who played with DharmaBums String Band, and is currently with Continental Kit and Above the Dam, brings his harmony vocals and multiple instruments- mandolin, lead guitar and upright bass. John Foppes joined the band this spring with his tenor sax, adding a cool dimension to the mix.

A blend of Folk-Rock and Americana, Red Bandana covers a wide assortment of old and newer tunes, from Hank Williams and Fats Domino, to Neil Young and Lucinda Williams, to name a few. With their versatile instrumentals, unique arrangements, sweet harmonies, and fun loving spirit, they are sure to please and entertain.
