On My Own Time Goes Digital

Amateur Artists are Invited to Submit Work

Submission deadline is September 25.

CNY Arts' annual On My Own Time program will be presented as a virtual exhibit on the CNY Arts website this fall.
 
There is no fee to participate and adjudications will not be held for this digital exhibit.
 
The program continues to promote the benefits of creativity and expression by spotlighting amateur artists.
 
Artists do not need to participate through their employer this year.
 
Interestedamateur artists inCortland, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga and Oswego Counties are invited to send CNY Arts a high quality photo of their work(s) along with their name (and employer/job title if preferred), piece title, medium, and year created.
 
The photographed works should be original pieces (no kits or purchased patterns) that were created in the last 3 years.
 
There is a limit of 3 works per artist.
 
We invite artists to consider submitting works of newly created pieces under the following themes:
  • Art During the Time of COVID-19
  • Art in the Pursuit of Social Justice
 
Artists should indicate whether they wish their art to be included under one of those themes. It is not required to submit works within these themes.

CNY Arts cannot guarantee the acceptance of every photo submitted, but we will do our best to include as many artists as possible!
